February 15:
Point Lobos Field Trip.
Time: 2-5 pm
Initial Meeting at Point Lobos Parking Lot (nearest to the Sea Lion Point Trail)
Parking: Car Entrance Fee: $10 ($9 for seniors) This is per car, not per person.
You can park outside the Reserve along Highway 1 and it is free but a $1 donation is recommended.
Parking in designated areas along the road (Hwy 1) is allowed but you will have a bit of a hike to get into the main highlights of the park.
Bathrooms (4) located at the main entrance, Point Lobos Parking Lot (where we will meet), near Bird Island Trail, near Whaler’s Cabin museum.
Type of photography: seascape, tide pool, textures, birds, sea lions
Photography equipment to consider: wide and telephoto lenses, tripod, ND filter, binoculars
Places for food and drink:
Carmel Highlands General Store (1 mile Hwy1 South), Crossroads shopping center, Carmel (2.6 miles Hwy 1 North)
Pre-Zoom Meeting: February 10th at 7:30 pm
Post-Zoom Meeting: February 24th at 7:30 pm
All participants must sign the Club Wavier of Liability.
